Our old buddy Adogg found some info on the new Bond game Quantum Of Solace being developed. Seems that Beenox is working with Treyarch on Quantum of Solace, the (soon to be) anticipated 007 game. I am very pleased to see that it will be on PC as well as the popular consoles, so rumors of Activision dropping PC games are unfounded (for the very near future anyway). Discuss on our forums!

Activision recently confirmed that the company’s newest blockbuster franchise, James Bond, featuring the world-renowned top secret agent 007 is in development by powerhouse studios Treyarch, Beenox and Vicarious Visions for next-generation consoles, Windows PC and hand-held platforms.  Expect more details to be announced in the coming months!

What to Expect: Quantum of Solace is a bit of a misnomer for this upcoming Bond game. For one, it’s based both on the upcoming Bond movie, but it also features scenes from the previous movie, Casino Royale. And normally we roll our eyes at movie-based games, but what we’ve seen of this one has us excited. It’s built on the Call of Duty 4 engine, so the visuals look very sharp, and there’s a great blend of gameplay. And if the games take after the movies, hopefully we won’t have any silly gadgets but rather an emphasis on stealth action and combat. Come on Mister Bond, and prove that nobody does it better.

I am starting a new blog where game server admins can review their hosts. I would like you to register and write a review when you get a chance. If you want to tell other clan’s admins about it, that’s great too!

I would also like someone to design a good logo since the current “Game Hosting Review” one really sucks. It can be transparent PNG and I will give the best designer something good (though I haven’t decided what yet).

Hype is a great thing for blogs, so please feel free to add the site to Stumbleupon, Digg, or whatever else you feel like.

Random thoughts:

All the prerendered cinematics literally gave me chills.

I might try to get in to it before all the WoW fags start making it boring.

EA is going to seriously fuck this up.

We will probably lose a few clan members to this.

I am currently for McCain due to the fact that I have never heard a straight answer out of Obama. Obama has flip-flopped WAY more than any candidate I have ever seen–yes McCain has flip-flopped.. but not nearly as much. Obama is making his campaign about CHANGE and yet, I haven’t heard a damn thing that is going to change… oh, besides giving more money to low-class people aka welfare people aka black people. He is also making his campaign about trash talking PERSONALLY, even though he just made a statement that it is wrong. Do we really want Obama trash talking foreign countries like he did with McCain?

Media are democrats this year, I know it. They put Obama highlights on during the RNC but didn’t put any McCain highlights on during the DNC.

I wrote a nice long post on nukeit.org explaining my thoughts on this whole disabled account issue.

Bog - Sabotage is stupid.  No one is ever going to plant when you spawn on top of the bomb, and one team’s spawn usually gets mercilessly grenaded and airstriked.  Which side depends on what team I’m on

Killhouse - Where do I begin…?  Map is clearly too small for the players we have.  Excessive camping with people just putting on deep ass penetration perks and shooting at walls.  Sabotage game type is stupid, bomb rarely if ever gets planted and almost never goes off.  People generally leave when this map comes up, I notice a severe drop off in players afterward.

Creek - Domination gametype seems best, or TDM.  This map seems to induce the most whining, as it is basically designed for sniping/camping.  I notice admins often spend most or all of the round bitching at or kicking campers on this map.  What a waste.  It’s DESIGNED TO SNIPE.  People who don’t normally snipe are going to on this map.  You’d have to kick practically everyone, and if you don’t, you are metting out justice to a select few while letting everyone else get away with it.

Crash - Domination gametype can be lame for the team that takes A.  They just get pummeled all round, not much you can do about it.  <3 The map though…

Vacant - Again sabotage gametype is stupid here, the way the spawns and planting points are the bomb rarely gets planted.

I’m not one to complain and not offer suggestions for solutions.  In the case of Bog, Crash, and Vacant, a simple game type change would do nicely.  We could even try out some we aren’t using, or just go with TDM, either way.  Creek needs to be accepted for what it is or removed.  The constant bitching about camping on that map during gameplay ruins the raging chubby that usually accompanies me at all times in our servers.  I suppose I understand the appeal of Killhouse as it is mayhem, but with 40 people it’s more like spawn/die/spawn/die/spawn and throw a nade or 2/die ect.  Yeah that’s about as fun as jerking off with Icy/Hot.  Even TDM is hopeless here, you start spawning right next to each other.  I’ll just continue to go elsewhere or suffer until this is removed.  We should remember we just added the new maps and never really tweaked or revisited them after, so perhaps now would be a good time to do that…
